Baby Wetsuit FAQ's

All three of these Baby wetsuits offer warmth in water. Whichever you choose, your baby will be protected from the cold water.

  • The Happy Nappy Wetsuit, is a neoprene suit with a full Happy Nappy™ incorporated. It is an all in one option as you will not need to buy a separate swim diaper. It offers full coverage on the top half of the body, whilst the legs are uncovered.
  • The Warm In One™ is a full coverage suit, but it is not made from neoprene. It is a loose fitting suit, lined in cozy fleece. This suit is the warmest in our range, but it does require a separate swim diaper.
  • The Baby Wrap wetsuit is thicker than the Happy Nappy™ Wetsuit at 2mm thick and is designed to maintain core body temperature. Arms and legs are left uncovered. This is a great option for babies who are very active, as it is one of the easiest to put on and get off. You will need to buy a separate Happy Nappy™ to be worn underneath.

Baby wetsuits are not essential, but they can be very beneficial. We recommend using a baby wetsuit to help extend pool time, as without one, your baby may only manage up to 10 minutes in the water. Babies lose heat much faster than adults, so a wetsuit helps them retain warmth and enjoy their swim for longer. Additionally, wetsuits can provide extra grip, making it easier to hold your baby in the water, and when they are wet on the poolside.

No, a baby wetsuit does not help your baby float. Wetsuits are designed primarily to provide warmth by trapping a thin layer of water against the skin, which is then warmed by body heat. While neoprene is slightly buoyant, it is not enough to keep your baby afloat.

Yes! All of our baby wetsuits are available in a variety of colours and designs to suit all babies. Choose from pinks and lilac, blues or unisex greens and neutrals.
